Using Barcode Scanner (or Swipe Card Reader) to Perform Keyboard Free Punch In/Out
|
| |
|
BePunctual Group
Time Clock
software can be used with a bar code scanner (or swipe
card reader) to punch in/out by
scanning in the bar code on an employee pass. A employee pass would
typically contain a bar code of the employee ID. The bar code scanner
can scan in the employee ID and automatically paste the employee ID
text on the Punch ID box of the
BePunctual Group
Time Clock
software and performs a
sign in. And if the
BePunctual Group
Time Clock
software is configured to auto-punch
in/out after sign in, the employee would then be able to punch
in/out by just scanning his employee pass.
To configure BePunctual to support bar code scanning punch in/out,
follow the steps below:

Configuring BePunctual Server Software for Bar Code Scanning Punch In/Out
For those employees that are using barcode scanning
to punch in/out, set only their Punch ID and leave the Punch PIN
empty. The Punch ID is the employee ID barcode on the employee pass.
